Dishwashers/dryers, water purifiers, warm-water washing toilet seats, automatic detergent loading functions for washing machines, automatic faucets that automatically run water when you hold your hand over them, etc. These “fluid control technologies” (systems that control the pressure, flow rate, flow path, etc. of liquids and gases) that have made people’s lives more convenient and comfortable are our core technologies. We have been developing and manufacturing products for more than 70 years, and have earned the trust of many companies, including major home appliance manufacturers in Japan and abroad. Currently we have expanded our operations and are developing and manufacturing our products in China and Vietnam, as well as in Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture.

Whereas there are many “specialist companies” that specialize in specific technologies, saying “We are second to none in water control technology” or “We are good at processing metal parts”, the strength of Techno Excel is that we are a “generalist company” with extensive knowledge, technology, and experience in all stages of the product lifecycle, from the development stage to the design and processing of molds, mass production to quality assurance, and after-sales service.

Our technology may be one of the “gears” in the system for the finished products you may see on the market, which is not anything special. However, we have the “planning ability” to create even greater value by integrating the diverse know-how we have cultivated over the past 70 years, and the “technical ability” to put that planning into practice.

Our mission is to “continue to provide our customers with ’something only we can do‘ to contribute to their technological advancement”. More than 150 years have passed since the company was founded. Our history began with the silk industry. Since then, as we expanded into the electric and electronic industries, we have always pursued advanced technology and comfort in society.

1875
Established “Yamakano Silk Mill” in Suzaka, Nagano.
1959
Reorganized as a corporation and renamed Kanbayashi Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
1962
Started production of control board assembly and processing.
1965
Started production of select switches for washing machines.
1970
Started production of solenoid valves and pressure switches for washing machines.
1984
Registered EXL as a trademark.
1985
Started production of solenoid valve for warm-water washing toilet seats.
1986
Started production of pressure sensor for fully automatic washing machines.
1987
Established Head Office/General Technology Center.
1992
Changed the trade name from Kanbayashi Manufacturing Co., Ltd. to Techno Excel Co., Ltd.

Lent neutral electrolyzed water generators free of charge to Suzaka City, Obuse Town, and Takayama Village, Nagano, for the purpose of preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Received the Excellent Partner Award in the Purchasing Division from Lixil Corporation.
